Updates & previous releases
Once installed, CriticalPDF uses a manifest-driven auto-update system — the service checks for new builds on startup and every 24 hours, verifies each downloaded MSI's SHA-256 before applying, and installs silently in the background. A hash mismatch fails closed and the existing version keeps running. You normally don't need to download MSIs by hand again after the first install.
If you need a specific older build — for compatibility testing, staging, or to pin a fleet — contact support@criticalpdf.com with the version and we'll send you a signed copy.
